Pam Saunders-Ward, M.Sc.

Pam Saunders-Ward is the founder and managing director of the Saunders Clinic and CBT Workshops. She assists children, adolescents and adults with a range of presenting problems including; Traumatic Stress, Stress, Anxiety, Depression, Addiction, ADHA , Aspergers & Phobias, and also holds an Advanced Certificate in Combat Stress and Trauma Management from the Royal Marines.

As a Board Certified Expert in Traumatic Stress with the American Academy in Traumatic Stress, she has developed a peer support trauma incident recovery programme, which can be used by trained staff at major incidents and in the aftermath together with CBT courses with general and specified themes.

Pam's is also a visiting senior lecturer with the University of Hertfordshire where she facilitates lectures, and clinical supervision for students on the High Intensity IAPT courses.

Pam is a psychotherapist and counsellor and obtained her M.Sc in Rational Emotive Behaviour Therapy from University of London, Goldsmiths College.

She is accredited with the BACP, BABCP, AREBT and EMDR & APIL registered.

Professor Windy Dryden - Patron

Prof. Windy Dryden currently works at Goldsmiths College where he is the Professor of Psychotherapeutic Studies as well as being the programme Co-ordinator of the M.Sc. in Rational Emotive Behaviour Therapy and the Diploma in Cognitive Approaches to Counselling and Psychotherapy. He has written or edited over 150 books.

Dr S Acharyya M.B.B.S. Phil. M.R.C. Psych.

Dr. Acharyya trained in psychiatry at Bethlem Royal & the Maudsley Hospitals, and, received his Master of Philosophy from the Institute of Psychiatry, University of London. He continued his further training at Guy's Hospital, Hayes Grove Priory Hospital & University College, London, where he worked as Senior Registrar & Lecturer.

As a Consultant Psychiatrist, he began his career in Southend-on-Sea. Here, in addition to his role as a Consultant Psychiatrist, worked as the Mental Health & Handicap Services Manager, and later, as the Medical Director & Director Clinical Services, developing new services, which were welcomed by patients of the services, their relatives, and by their General Practitioners. Currently his NHS practice is based in Chelmsford, where he is the Consultant Psychiatrist for Danbury and part of Chelmsford Town. In addition, he is the Consultant Lead for the Psychiatric Intensive Care Unit (considered to be one of the three best such units in the UK) and for the Criminal Justice-Mental Health Service.

Both in his Private Practice and NHS Practice, he has developed a reputation amongst patients, carers, General Practitioners and other colleagues for his clinical skills for successfully managing most of his patients in the community, by working very closely with General Practitioners. On those rare occassions, when his patients require hospitalisation, the length of stay is remarkably brief, with progress continuing post-discharge.

Dr. Acharyya, according to NHS audit of the issue, has been shown to have the lowest number of "patients bed-occupancy days" in Essex, with the lowest number of re-admissions.

Dr. Acharyya is one of the senior-most Consultant Psychiatrists in Essex, being the senior-most Consultant in Adult Psychiatry, within the NHS, in Essex.

Dr. Acharyya runs several Private Out-Patients Clinics, at several different sites and at different times so as to make it easier for patients to access his service, in his Private Practice. He ensures that there is NO waiting list,and, a patient can be seen the very week the patient is referred by the General Practitioner.

Dr. Claudia Herbert

Dr Claudia Herbert, BSc(Hons), MSc, DClin Psychol, AFBPsS is the Director of The Oxford Development Centre Ltd, which she formed in March 1998. She is a Chartered Clinical Psychologist, an Associate Fellow of the British Psychological Society (British Psychological Society - reg. no: 31999) and a UKCP (United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapies - reg. no: 940 283) Registered Cognitive-Behavioural Therapist (BABCP reg. no: 934 342). She is a Consultant in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). She is a BUPA, PPP and Norwich Union Healthcare recognized practitioner.

Sandi Richman

Alexandra Richman is a Clinical Psychologist specialising in the treatment of victims of acute trauma, torture and personal injury, adult survivors of childhood abuse and dissociative disorders. In addition to conducting a private practice, Alexandra is a Consultant Psychologist with the Traumatic Stress Service at the Maudsley Hospital in London.

Alexandra is an Approved Consultant and Trainer in EMDR with the EMDR International Organisation (EMDRIA), as well as with EMDR Europe Association and her EMDR trainings are accredited by both these organisations. Alexandra has been a Facilitator with the EMDR Institute for 13 years and has assisted in many Institute trainings in several countries in Europe as well as the United Kingdom and Ireland. Alexandra is Past-President of the EMDR UK & Ireland Association.
