Aims :
To recognise signs and symptoms for Health Anxiety
To learn how to complete an initial assessment and develop a case formulation.
To apply the ABC structure to assessment and treatment plans.
Learning Objectives :
- To understand diagnostic classifications and epidemiological characteristics of Health Anxiety.
- To be able to assess client for contraindications to CBT/REBT.
- To gain a critical understanding of pharmacological and psychological treatment.
- To be able to identity external stimuli and maintaining factors, including catastrophic bodily interpretations.
- To collaboratively agree homework activities and the 5 C’s of homework.
- To review achievements and gains.
- To derive a relapse prevention plan.
