Saunders Clinic

Clinical Supervision

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Rational Emotive Behaviour Therapy (REBT) and Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR)

We offer individual and group CBT, REBT and EMDR supervision for private clinicians and organisations.

Clinical supervision is facilitated by Pam Saunders-Ward, M.Sc and Claudia Prothero, M.Sc.

Pam and Claudia are senior visiting lecturers and clinical supervisors for Hertfordshire University for the HIW IAPT course and trainers for the PWP IAPT course.

Claudia also provides CBT supervisory support at Anglia Ruskin in Chelmsford, Essex.

Supervision enables you critically reflect upon your clinical practice and encourages you to identify areas of change, which will influence the direction of your continuing professional development programme.

What should I expect from supervision?

  • Focus on a specific question regarding your practice or client presentation and what you would like to achieve from the session.
  • You will be expected to bring both file notes and audio and/or visual recordings of the session being presented, to enable ‘live’ observation of your work.
  • In prior agreement competency scales will be applied to your presented work, for reflection and learning.

Individual supervision normally has a duration of one (1) hour.
Group supervision comprises of four (4) to six (6) participants for two (2) hours.

You will be requested to complete a supervision contract which outlines the responsibility of both parties and a fee contract.
